Thanks a lot for your replies. I'll wait for a week for the T-308 days, but I guess that the dear Plats and Golds will have snapped up any seats.

The suggestion for LON-asia looks more do-able. Seemingly can get to Tokyo or KL fairly easily, surprisingly not to Singapore directly.

Well I finally gave up trying to get the flights I wanted, but was successful in getting LHR-Las Vegas on AA J and LA-SYD on QF J which will make for a more interesting trip home anyway.

You did really well getting J seats on QF LA to SYD. Normally gone by the time us lowly Bronze FF's get access.

I know. It was only for one day (could have done other days via BNE) and I booked quickly. Well it would have been quick except the website wouldn't let me and some poor woman in NZ spent about an hour on the phone doing it for me.
