Any plans for activities in Hong Kong on the Sunday before the Crawl?

I started a thread years ago looking for 'off beat' ideas for day activities there, as I had exhausted all the usual suspects

Hong Kong ideas [8am-4pm]

Looking for suggestions for 1/2 to 2/3 day activities in Hong Kong, beyond the first and second tier of things usually suggested .. which I think I must have done, once or twice over the years. Am on QF 30 dep at 8:30pm, so want to be done and back to the hotel by 4:30pm; don't want to go...

'Fortunately' (?) I arrive 00:15 on Sunday, so will be ready to go after breakfast. Or maybe I will need to catch up with everyone once I arrive

May have been something you have done and is fairly short but a walk on the trail around the peak affords some good views.

It was a landing like no other. During the sharp right turn on final approach into Hong Kong's original Kai Tak Airport, you could literally see people's laundry drying out the window of your Boeing 747. Kai Tak Airport closed in 1998, replaced by the more modern and much larger Chek Lap Kok...

It's a cool piece of aviation history and you have some good views from there. A moderate level of fitness is required (shouldn't be an issue for anyone here).

See my post #65 above and timestamp, 'late last week' was our conversation. After some calls earlier this week my plan A is no longer an option. I am now working on getting to HKG - Plan B If you cannot join the crawl I know/ understand your decision.

You would also have access to the Qantas lounge being on EK.

@Matt_01, I’ve tried to free up that weekend but it’s a no-go this year. I even ended up with WP for another year and didn’t require guesting but just couldn’t align the dates
