How to book Volaris (Mexico) flights?

Having major trouble booking on, let alone reaching, the Volaris website. I see two options, neither of them great:
1) use a VPN (but then I may still not be able to pay with a non-Mexican card)
2) book through an OTA (e.g., Expedia)

Does anybody have experience/advice?
