Has anyone managed to get the $22 plus pack added onto a price matched fare so you can earn QFF points/SC?

I haven't heard of anyone succeeding in this.

The Plus Pack isn't really $22 - it is a variable amount, and even if it could be added, there is no guarantee what the price would be.

The terms and conditions of the guarantee specifically state it cannot be a plus pack fare as they are excluded:

Starter Fares with Plus Bundle, Starter Fares with Max Bundle, Business Fares and Business Max fares are excluded from this promotion.

I'm seeking some clarification on the price beat guarantee for an international journey.

I'm looking at flights PER-SIN. Tiger is cheapest at $340, departing 9.40pm; Jetstar want $750, departing at 12.15am.

As I read the price beat guarantee, the 'comparable time' requirement for an international sector is simply the same day (as opposed to within one hour for domestic flights). Is my understanding correct? Prima facie, would my situation be eligible for the price beat?

That's my understanding (not having tried it though!)

I've had success this week with price beating a PER-SIN fare where the 'comparable time' is simply the same day for international flights.

The price beat is a very long process. Two separate calls for two separate price beats have taken well in excess of 30 minutes and that's with the call being answered within two or three minutes.

You should be able to book more than one price beat in the one call. I've done 3 before.
Yes, it is long winded but that's because of the verification needed at their end. They have to simulate the same booking process with the other airline

A good thing is that you can book with a credit card, even Amex, at no charge although they normally just ask you "visa or mastercard" but there's no problem using Amex.
That's handy if you get points on your card and insurance too.

Indeed - the price beat booking seems to miss the credit card booking fee althogether.

I did one on 3K then went to preselect seats and the booking engine tried to add $9SGD to the $4SGD seat selection price!

Is it or is not possible, once a far has been price beaten, to add (i) baggage and/or (ii) a plus bundle at the published rate as if it was purchased online. For example, say, $28 for 20kg of baggage and $40 for meals, QFF points, SCs, no change fee etc.

I made a price beat booking (as noted above) and I'm certain I was assured (twice) by the agent (whose name I have recorded) that I could only add extras once I had received an email that the itinerary was confirmed and that there would be no additional charge for doing so, other than the costs of the products (ie. no change fees or the like).

Jetstar has tried to charge me $42 for 20kg of baggage after a price beat was confirmed when, at the time of booking and even now, 20kg is only $28.

Has anyone had any luck price beating one of Tiger's $1 return leg fares? Tiger has a promotion where, on selected return trips, the outbound is, say, $115, and the inbound is $1. It must be a return booking though.

I'm wondering if, subject to the 'within one hour' requirement being met, JQ would match a return flight.

I would have assumed that would be really hard to get them onboard with.

No problem at all last time around but I haven't tried with the latest offer but can't see why it would be any different. Nothing wrong with a 95 cent flight paid with Amex for the FF points without charge and then the lounges if you have the QF status! Nice.
The dates are just a bit too far out for me to make use of it this time.
