JQ announces direct services between BNE and AKL

It had been on the BNE airport long term schedule for a while and I just brushed it off as a mistake.

I noticed VA151 to AKL but then noticed it's also showing VA7 to LAX and VA77 to HND...
It’s a very interesting source. VA to CHC, HIR & WLG also appear so most likely old schedules misfiled amongst the actual ones. VietJet to SGN is also on there?

Some strange things pop up from time to time. I remember looking earlier in the year and it showed VA flights to Bundaberg & Hervey Bay. It also had the Rex jet flights on there well before they actually launched.

Seems the two stars should be the arrival time?

I had noticed that VA fares to HIR still show up in expertflyer. I thought it must be an artefact of some sort.

HIR is an interesting one. It’s still listed as a destination on Virgin’s website, and they applied last year to the IASC to renew their allocation of 360 seats per week to the Solomon Islands for a further 5 years starting December 2022, which was granted.

Well the double daily didn't last (or even launch). I had the 4pm BNE-AKL booked and that's now been cancelled. I wonder where that extra A321neo is going?
