Just received an email for this promotion from Velocity (earlier version came from flybuys). The new Velocity version now states the bonus earn is “per transfer” of 2,000 points, it goes on to say under Step 2 “transfer as many times as you like”, so this certainly gives the impression that previous experiences are correct..... you must split into multiple transactions to get the bonus for each transfer of 2,000.
.....although if you read the fine print in this same email, it once again says “for every 2000 points” not per transfer, so is more consistent with the flybuys email.
Very poor Virgin and Flybuys!!! Simple rules would be helpful.

Thanks for your feedback. The bonuses will be applied per 2,000 flybuys points transferred, irrespective of the number of transfers during the promotion period.

Regarding the August promotion, we are aware that in error some members were not credited the correct number of Velocity points. We are advised that Velocity will credit affected members the correct number of Velocity points within the next two days.

The points aren't allocated progressively. Terms and conditions for this promotion state that members should allow up to 6 weeks after 31 October 2019 for the bonus points to be allocated.

So..... just to clarify, as frankly I’m still not clear.

Based on having purchased at 3 partner stores:

if I transfer 2000 FBs, I’ll get 1070 Velocity points.

If I transfer 4000 FBs, will I get 1940 or 2140 Velocity points?

For every 2,000 flybuys points you transfer, earn 200 bonus Velocity Points when you shop with 3 nominated flybuys partners. So if you transfer 4,000 flybuys points, you'll get 400 bonus Velocity points in addition to the standard 1,740 Velocity points, meaning a total of 2,140.

The 15% is always applied instantly as there's been no requirement to spend anything, it's a straight transfer bonus. This promo says you have the option of transferring first and then doing your spend requirement. It would be impossible to award the bonus points at point of transfer in this case.

Just transferred 22,000. Expecting 11,770 total.

Seriously, this is one of the most poorly worded promotions I have seen in a long time. We're all (relatively) intelligent people here () but it was very confusing and hard to understand. Most of the people who would respond to such a promo are likely already spending way more than $10 per month at 3 or more FB partners, so what was the actual objective for FB? Furthermore, we now we have to sit and wait for 6 weeks to see if the bonus points arrive?! C'mon FB - you can do better than this!

Adding to the above, I read through the terms twice and just skipped the whole thing because I just don't have trust in Organizations that contrive such complicated schemes. My "spidey-sense" went off straight away that this was not going to end well and I would end up having to complain to maybe get what I thought I was owed.
Hopefully Flybuy's get the feedback and re-think future promotions in future. This actually makes me de-incentivized and more likely to switch to Woolies.

There is nothing complicated about this promotion. Spend the min amount with 3 of the listed partners for a 200 VFF points bonus for every 2000 FB points transfer to VFF on top of the normal 870 VFF points.
I transferred 32000 FB points and received 13920 VFF points. In 6 weeks I expect to receive 3200 bonus VFF points as I shopped with 3 of the partners.

Yes I too look forward to chasing things up in 6 weeks time from now. The number of times I have not received bonus flybuys but it's hardly worth chasing for small amounts
