Correct, I have seen several airlines post no hand luggage other than a laptop or small handbag. Also its in the IATA recommended COVID procedures

Also on shorter flights not food or drink other than a paper bag on your seat when you board (at least for Y)

Lufthansa announced today they have agreed to a convoluted "stabilisation" package of measures from the Economic Stabilisation Fund (gov) that equates to around Eu8B. The gov will get a a 20% stake in the airline and separately an additional share of future profits in return for silent participation loans etc.

They had previously received bailout packages from two other governments for subsidiary airlines in the group.

Lufthansa prematurely retired 6 x A380's in the last few weeks.

The size of the remainder of the fleet remains in doubt as the airline progressively prunes 100 of its aircraft from a fleet of around 700.

The airline board is certainly "undecided" of late, this deal and several variants seems to have been on again, off again a few times while bleating repeatedly give us money.

Makes one wonder when they will run out of time and either go under or accept whatever they can get. An additional major sticking point may be (just conjecture) the gov wants 2 seats on the board.

SAS has announced the retirement of its entire Boeing Fleet. (737 x 47 planes) and will only operate Airbus A320 aircraft in future. Bye Bye Boeing.

They have also sacked 560 pilots and let go all A350 crew.
