QF gold to Airpoints Status Match

Has anybody had recent experience with an Air NZ status match? I know there were some threads from a few years back but they are all closed.
I applied for a match last week and sent all the desired info, upon calling up to enquire about a progress update today, they told me it can take up to 3 months to approve or deny but they would try to "priority and do my request more quickly".. Which seems a little steep.
Anybody with experience similar? :?::shock:
Was really hoping to use it to book some flights this week.

Looks Like my pestering them worked, as they just sent me confirmation of 'Nominated Gold' so all gold benefits minus recognition upgrades..
I would delete the thread but can't seem to ( so feel free to do so mods) or just let other members know Air NZ will match...

Interesting. They ran a status match program a few months back, and Gold came with the recognition upgrades....

Shame... Surprised I didn't hear about the program when it ran.

I only heard of it through Facebook. It was also limited as to how many matches they were giving out.

You may still get the gold uplift for the one up requests though? And I think they have a good chance of clearing on TT flights. Just a thought.

The unweighting does exist for status matches (and i've successfully used it 3 times since) which is great
