QF trials new "no tray" meal service in Economy Class

Yeh you get that on flights to and from Perth... In January perth-syd we got a really yummy pavlova passionfruit icecream mini tub, on the return it was an annoying but ok mango weiss bar. In June melb-Perth we got "soy crisps" in place of icecream which was awful and too drying in the mouth (something you definitely need a drink with) for the inflight environment. I definitely rather they keep the icecreams.

Tray service and hot dinners are back. Happy days!!! Only for dinner service it seems, still better than the boxed salads
