JH reckons the '07 is drink by this year; the '08 later this decade, but the '12 is by far the stand out in what you picked. Of course, what does he know* I ended up with 07, 08, 12.

Really?I don't follow?
I only own some recent Basket Press, I haven't tried older vintages.
I was simply hoping someone who has could recommend a couple.

I'd probably take 2010 if possible.Sorry, I don't mean highest JH rating.
I just meant overall generally speaking some vintages are known to be amazing, higher value vintages.
I only ask because a family friend who is a long time member has been buying BP for an extremely long time is swapping some wines with me and said I could have any vintage I want.
Appreciate any feedback
Look forward to tasting it in a couple of weeks when there for lunch.By the way, the 2019 Rod & Spur has arrived in the cellar door (and online).
There's also a magnum available if you phone, and they said watch this space for August regarding museum.Look forward to tasting it in a couple of weeks when there for lunch.

What vintage are they up to with the magnum? There's also a magnum available if you phone, and they said watch this space for August regarding museum.
Yes, '16.What vintage are they up to with the magnum?
(I'm assuming you are referring to a BP and not a R&S magnum)

Our day started with an 08:30 breakfast in preparation for a 10:30 departure to the Barossa. Lunch officially commenced at 12 noon and concluded just after 4:00.
Prior to our departure at 5:00 we had the opportunity to taste the currently available wines in the Stone Wall room.
Below is the lunch menu and photos of our lunch.

We all went to the Stone Wall room after lunch but I'm not sure what was made available to non SWers. I know BP was sold out and I'm pretty sure you had to be SW to buy Grenache.I hate youse all. Sorry to have missed it - hope the newbies enjoyed the day. Did they open up the stonewaller cellar to non-SWers?
As I'm getting older I think my taste buds are in decline. However, I thought it still young and has more development to come. It was quite smooth the tannins having softened. I'd like to hear what @henleybeach and @boomy have to say with their youthful palates. How's the 2012 Basket Press looking? I'd imagine still on the primary side.

Agree, I feel like another 2 years it will be spot on.You've described it well @Buzzard.
Feels like the 2012 is just entering it’s drinking window.
More like the Masons than a FF programSorry for butting in but with the indulgence of the Club may I make an observation:
This sounds like a FF program where no status run exists to quickly climb the Tiers.....
