Seat selection in QR Business Lite via OW Sapphire..?

Hello long time lurker, first time poster - I am travelling SIN-CDG via DOH next year in QR P, their Business Lite fare. Am VA plat/QF gold and booked via the QR site, putting in Velocity number for SCs. Site was glitchy with VA details but I can see it there in my booking now.

Have since seen that my OW Sapphire status via QF gold apparently allows me advanced seat selection, not part of the P fare (see link).

Can I do this via the app/site without messing with SC settings? Im sure this is simpler than I’m making it! Also unsure re best lounge options given ticket limitations. TIA

Go to the QR website or app.

As an aside, the QF website will show the booking but might error out when you click through.

Hi there I logged into Qatar profile on desktop and used the live chat function. Initially the agent said not possible with my fare (presumably as I had assigned SCs to VA in booking) but gave them OW details, waited while they verified and added them, then chose my seats! Have since changed one of the return leg seats without issue on the app.

I have got it done. I did it on the Qatar website after retrieving my booking. but i have to log out of my Qatar profile as the system only recognises my status with QF.

Now, i need to make sure that SC is going to to my Qantas profile and not Avios.

If the booking shows in your QF trips, that’s a good start that QFF# is in the system.

If QR doesn’t display FF details, then look in another OW airline eg rj.com

I can see something in the QR app buried under Manage Booking to check PAX details. I must go in and update my own for a future booking I have.
