Shanghai lounge options for Qantas platinum status

Trying to figure out what my lounge options are - or more importantly, if I have plenty of time (as in too much time as I wait for a late flight), where I should park myself give the limited lounge options. I'm flying Qantas out of Shanghai - I am platinum. I don't care how far I have to walk and I will have at least 3 hours in the airport. What's my best option? Thank you.

All the lounges oneworld airlines use at PVG are 3rd party contract lounges, so you'll only be able to access the lounge Qantas contracts at Gate 36

Thanks, I was afraid of that. Sounds like it is a pretty dismal option. I assume when Cathay opens their new lounge later this year, QF platinum will be able to use - although it will probably be far from QF gates.

The CX lounge is in terminal 2 so you won't be able to access that prior to a Qantas flight departing from T1.

QF status is recognised for CX lounges though, including PVG if you are flying out on a OW flight.

Qantas should push to have gates in Terminal 2 when the CX lounge opens!!

They always were in T2 - they moved to T1 with the partnership with MU.
