News just being reported on Flyer Talk.

Owners of Sheraton Perth will be rebranding it as a Pan Pacific.
Looks like this will happen in January 2011.

Very disappointing for SPG members.

Now Starwood will not have a presence in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth; and insufficient rooms in Melbourne.

 . I was never a big fan of either CP's when they were Parkroyals, or CP's, I suppose using the Parkroyal branding will help with recognition. IHG have enough Sydney properties to handle loosing the two CP's, far less of an impact than the loss of the Perth Sheraton from SPG methinks. Thanks for posting the story, it was a tad confusing to here that they were becoming parkroyals given their origin.
