Sparkling (Shiraz or Red) Recommendations?

It doesn't have to strictly be a sparkling shiraz, it could be a blend that is often used to make sparkling red.

What do you like/recommend?

I've purchased some delicious drops from the cellar door from lesser known wineries, both in VIC and SA, and certainly around McLaren Vale but have forgotten them - doh!
 
If you have the cash: Seppelt Show Sparkling Shiraz.

But I tried this recently and didn't mind it: Dorrien Estate Lockwood Smith Cuvée Shiraz NV

Can second the Kay Brothers, a very supple, elegant take on this apparently Antipodean contribution to the world of wine, Ladbroke Grove don't do a bad version and like the Kay Bros is bottled with large crown seal rather than standard closure. Seppelt Original Sparkling Shiraz is a decent enough quaffer if not in the same league as the Seppelt Show, and for those who like a fruit bomb with bubbles but still exhibiting plenty of Xmas pudding cheer there's always the Rumball Sparkling Shiraz....cheers!
 
I asked this question here a couple of years ago. I ended up with the "Primo Estate JOSEPH Sparkling Red" which went down a treat for Christmas. I just recently ordered 6 for this Xmas from Boccaccio Cellars @ $73 (the only people who had stock).

Langton’s have it at $75 (or EpiQure @ $90......)
 
The Seppelt Sparkling Shiraz at under $20 bats above its weight.

The Peel Estate sparkling Shiraz is also a pretty decent drop.

Primo is lovely, other good options are Peter Lehman the Black Queen, Ashton Hills, Teusner or Rockford if you know someone.

Agreed about the Rumball - it doesn't look like much but is very nice.

The Lark Hill sparkling shiraz always performs well. It spends over ten years on lees, which gives it a very rich mouthfilling character. It is a Shiraz Merlot blend, and has a very cool-climate elegance to it. They are currently selling the 2003 vintage, which I think had 14 years on lees. Disgorged earlier this year.

That is somewhat impressive.
 
Definitely give the Majella Sparkling Shiraz out of Coonawarra a run. At around $30 it's a great buy but today only ALL wines are 25% off online.

They are a small father and daughter mob - they dont sell outside a very few select restaurants - I've got a vertical tasting ready to go of 07 - 13 durif ;)

That's probaly why I haven't heard of them I guess, I'm a massive fan of Warrabilla wines (same district as I'm sure you already know) so can imagine they are well worth a look....(big fan of Durif too :D)
 
I'm certainly a fan of the sparkling reds from the Rutherglen area, including the classic Morris Sparkling Durif, but also Cofields and as noted Andersons. Stanton and Killen do an interesting sparkling tempranillo. In the Canberra area, Gallagher's Sparking Shiraz is very good and worth checking out
