Surely it is now now time to change lounge access rules

My calculations tell me that any traveller could maintain WP and thus access to F lounges, with 10 economy flights to London per year.

I can do it with 15 returns and never leave QLD, but of course I also then don't get anywhere near the F lounge

It is QF's lounges and they decide who to let in. QF clearly decides that those who fly enough times on Y are just as important as F pax to the airline. Guess those who don't like this policy should just fly F on other airlines.

Well if I'm there as well perhaps we can all sit together at the bar.

And then there won't be any room at the bar if someone else wants to sit there and have a drink!

I have seen the SYD First Lounge when it gets very busy.

Difficult to get a seat although one can order and sit anywhere. I usually eat at the desktops while browsing emails and AFF. But then I can eat anywhere and do not need to be sitting down. My favourite eating position is standing up.

The lounge in SYD can also get very loud which is not a good atmosphere for someone wanting to relax.

I think it would be best if we got all Platinums out of there....

Seeing as I'm flying F on my second-next visit to the F lounge - I would appreciate all the P1s from refraining from sitting in my dining seat, my preferred apron-viewing seat, my desktop seat, and even though I can pre-book my spa appointment - I would appreciate not having to pass you on my way in or out from the lounge and spa.

While we're at it - can we please remove all the non-QF F pax and the non-QF Emeralds as well.

There is absolutely no shame flying Y and using F lounge if one is entitled to.

Just like there is no shame in taking public transport (of which flying F is one mode).
Let's face it, those who use PT waiting rooms (airport lounges) and complain about other PT users in the same waiting room need some perspective.
Those who are at another level are those who buy their own private planes and use them, not some PT P1 wannabe.
I doubt someone who flies their private plane to do long haul travel would be the type to hang out on AFF and if they were, wouldn't be going on creating trouble and not making any positive contribution to the forum.

AFF is merely a bunch of public transport enthusiasts!

I wish all bus stops where as nice as the F-Lounges...
Not that I catch the bus that often, but most of the bus stops I've waited at I've had to step over empty cans of coke, and put up with god awful smells.

No, only ever once traveled on a Saturday night. I was flying out from the PER... Actually come to think about it, the PER QP that night, it did remind me of the good ole suburban bus stop... :shock:
