Thanks for the heads up on the Shangri-la, sounds like I am safe staying where I am at Mercure Paddington (nice and close for Heathrow express for my lovely 7am departure flight)

Cheeky. By the way we are not cabbing back to ASP. Alternate transport has been arranged. Will let you know next week.

Oh and if flights are delayed we can have another night in ASP at QFs expense.

more like risk being on time or early…. they will probably run into you (briefly) in a lounge because your plane train or automobile was late and they luckily got none of those thanks to the handy app.

Really annoyed, the government has just canceled the 1st homw owners account for new customers as of YESTERDAY (budget night).

Young people now don't have a real chance (to not spend!) to save for their 1st house.

I understand they might stop putting money into it..

BUT....

not allowing otgers putting the after tax cash into a new house?

Whats worse, now that it's scrapped, you need to declare any interest as per normal bank accounts. ..

1st home owners account, each provider (bank), took 15% tax out of each months interest earnt.

Im lucky, I opened mine years ago!

It doesn't seem to matter where the trackwork is, they find me a train to drive on the weekend (unlike certain other depots I can mention! LOL)

Why do most (all?) hotels that have key card entry room doors, when there are 2 of you checking-in for 1 room, hand you 1 x key card wallet with 2 x key cards in it?

I mean, if the hotel is giving you 2 x key cards and considers the wallet to be any use at all, isn't it logical to give each guest their own key card wallet?

I think the wallets are useful so I always ask for a second one. I always get a bewildered look back. But I get the 2nd wallet anyway.
