Cruise control? I use it everywhere I can ... around town, on the open road ... employing it just like a second throttle. Micro adjustments are easy and second nature.

They basically only can't easily be used efficiently on hilly and/or tight winding roads.

I suppose I'm a bit of a control freak - I hate cruise control. The very idea of not having my foot on the accelerator fills me with horror.

Ditto, my daughter did not realise my car even had it, she had never seen me use it.

I got my licence for the first time driving a manual car in Sydney, lasted a year and gave it up. Had another go at around 40, driving an automatic. After a year stopped driving again. I was an accident waiting to happen and I felt the responsible thing was to stop driving. As soon as people hear you don't drive, you get a lot of disbelief and sometimes thinly veiled contempt, but I feel strongly that there are many people like me who should not be driving!

When I was getting my driving license, we would sometimes pick up another learner driver. This learner driver had already failed 3 times yet still was determined to get a license. Even those short trips when drove me I felt their nerves would probably never let them reach the required competency for driving. I felt the instructor was more interested in getting money out of this student.

My elderly father choose not renew his license last year as he felt didn't feel up to driving anymore. I thought it might be good to keep it just for ID purposes but he didn't want to spend the cash.

Ditto here - just fine. Points seem to be in place, too.

If your credentials don't work, you'll probably have to call up, particularly if you try many times as the system may keep locking you out in an attempt to stop a brute force attack.

Probably nothing - I had the same issue yesterday, but haven't been back since I was locked out - must try again now.

Probably nothing - I had the same issue yesterday, but haven't been back since I was locked out - must try again now.

I also had the same problem yesterday and I know I definitely did not get my pin wrong.

I had a similar problem last night, was working fine then I went to log in a few minutes later and it said incorrect password, I gave up after that.

Yes, I don't really believe I had my pin wrong - that's why I was a bit worried my account may have been hacked and someone changed it.

Funny how we remember stupid things and forget important moments in life.

I was just thinking about playing golf at Woodville with a friend 25-30 years ago and he hit a ball into the warehouses on the short par 3 7th hole. We spent ages looking for the ball and we finally spotted it and he found a way to climb the fence and get the ball. Except it wasn't his ball.

Mind must be re-organising storage again.
