I too think that seperate threads are good.

I look at the big thread re: recent announcements and I am daunted by the size of the thread - i'm not going to trawl through 50 pages of banter, I have better things to do than spend half an hour going through a thread of that size.

As that is my opinion, I agree with the OP.

markis10 has acted with the full knowledge of admin and the other mods. After discussion the decision was made to leave the threads as they currently are set-up.

I would like to ask the following: Can I open a new thread to discuss the very specific details of the brand new Platinum program in VA?

There is currently an old thread speculating about Platinum. There is another thread about the "On Flight Changes" to Platinum. There is a thread where someone is excited about getting "gold, gold, gold". There are numerous threads discussing other specific parts of the new changes.

Is there any fricking reason that we, as members of this community, cannot discuss in ridiculous detail all the ins and outs of the NEW Platinum level in a single thread??

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be posting here in the future. Doesn't seem to be the place for me, and I'm not too keen on sharing my tips and tricks here anymore*.

Of course, I'm always happy to have a chat and a drink with a fellow flyer. And who knows, maybe I'll see you all at the next AFF meetup in Nov...

It's a shame that you might not be staying around to contribute, I had learned one or two things from you Do hope to catch up for a chat sometime, and pick your brain about the tricks you've found!!
