JohnM and OZDUCK, you were both obviously able to access the tower to get your great pics looking down the site towards the road. I had planned to get a pic from that position myself but unfortunately when we visited access to the tower was blocked as part of the pre Dawn Service security preparations.

My Great-Uncle's grave at London Cemetery and Extension Loungeval taken in 2011. It is just over 30 km from Villers-Bretonneux . He was literally "just 19" and had previously served at Gallipoli. The third photo is a bit of a ring-in for this thread but ----.



These Commonwealth War Graves Cemeteries in France are always beautifully cared for.

2012. My Seattle friends (and who I was going to visit this coming June ) are originally from Wisconsin. The Green Bay Packers were in town to take on the Seattle Seahawks.

Go Cheeseheads! Hell, yeh! Game on!

Cheeseheads went down by about one point on a controversial touchdown from a pass into a huge pack right on the line just as the final whistle blew. It took a long time for the decision. Boo, ref!

My daughter & a friend, b oth 19, did a a Kon Tiki tour which included a day trip to Gallipoli. They gathered at the edge of the cemetery & listened to the guide. She glanced down at the first grave, of a young lad who'd died at 19. Born in February as she was, and with our surname. It still gives me goosebumps

Spur of the moment holiday in Hong Kong last year (booked 48 hours before departure).

Very civilised flight over with some of the best QF crew I've ever had.

The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Service was impeccably flawless from the moment I arrived and was greeted by name as I stepped out of the lift on the 103rd floor reception, to when I sadly departed to fly home. The lounge has all day F&B (breakfast, high tea, lunch, dinner, and desserts) so I started each day with breakfast and a glass of Veuve
