US/CANADA - Check Bag Fees on TWO PNR?

I need to book a flight from Calgary to Miami next year. There are no direct flights so will probably be looking at the below routing through Air Canada:
YYC - YYZ - MIA

If I search Calgary to Miami and book under 1 PNR the cost is $500. If I do separate bookings my self the total cost will be $380. Now my question is, will they charge me two sets of checked baggage? Or will they check me in at Calgary all the way to Miami?
