Don’t think it’s targeted.
I got email and did transfer and points plus bonus posted straight away.

My family pool brother did not get the email but transferred the minimum 2000 flybuys.
the 870 +131 bonus were in my account straight away as well.

Got the email as well, looks like a general offer even if not yet listed on redemption page.

Transferred 10,000 flybuys points that I just earned via the Christmas 4 week spend $60 targeted promotion and immediately got 4,350 standard and 653 bonus velocity points.

Worked out nicely for me. Merry Christmas

I just remembered woolworths changed their qantas points conversion from 2000WW to 870 up to 1000 Qantas points, Im skeptical if flybuys is trying to drain out points before they match WW? thoughts? should I bite?

Well the 15% gets you slightly better than 2000FB to 1000 Velocity if Flybuys moves to match the Woolworths transfer rate. I think it’s 1 Velocity point extra per 2000 FB points.

So if they match WW conversion rate you won’t be worse off unless they match the rate and still have the occasional 15% transfer bonus promotions as well. Personally I don’t see them matching the transfer rate permanently they will argue you can get the conversion rate by waiting for the bonuses transfer promotions but they get the benefit on the less informed transferring at the 2000 to 870 transfer rate saving costs to Velocity program when redemptions occur.

This is more likely Virgin wanting a cash injection from Flybuys at mid financial year in my opinion (for what it’s worth).

Just got an email from Velocity. 15% bonus for flybuys transfer until 29 December.

Mrs excel got it but not me, so I assume yes. Interesting it printed on a Coles FB receipt for her but not me.

My 15% bonus email arrived at 8.31pm last night. I transferred some points about 10 minutes ago and they've already arrived in my Velocity account (with the 15% bonus).

Received an email at about noon today:
Flash offer, get in quick! Transfer your flybuys points to Velocity between 18 February 2020 and 25 February 2020 and get 15% bonus Velocity Points*.

As far as I can tell, the asterix in the terms and conditions don't specify anything different to the usual T&Cs - minimum 2000 point transfer, maximum 138,000 points per calendar year etc.

I transferred about 10 minutes ago and the points (plus 15% bonus) are already in my Velocity account.

Oddly enough - across our family 3 got '15%' bonus email and 2 have received '20%' bonus email.

Luckily they just happen to be the ones who have not transferred for some time....

Nice large balances just waiting to go.

Something fishy going on here. I read on OZB that everybody was transferring points whether they received the offer or not and were receiving 15% bonus AND 20% bonus - so 35% extra. I transferred a small amount (2000 points) and only received 15% bonus despite receiving the 20% email offer.

OZB reports others receiving the same thing.

Sounds like they made a screw up and made another screw up in the fix. Not sure if they are going to claw points back from those that received who weren't intended. I read some of them have transferred to Krisflyer or redeemed them, so that would be difficult to claw back unless putting the balance into negative.
