Good job! We were going to Savoca but met an a huge traffic jam and then did a detour to go to Taormina instead.

Taormina is one of my favourite.places.on.earth - a jewel of a town!
I plan to go again next year

No.
I did a walking tour of Oxford a few years ago, and the guide who was very entertaining stopped outside of the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, and describe how its architecture was comforting, and drew your eyes up to heaven. And the we turned around, and he pointed out that the place in my photo was hard and threatening - the don't muck (or words to that effect) with us, sort of place. They had a serious sense of importance.
