Where to credit DL on KL codes?

I am looking at a decent business one-way fare DUB-xJFK-DEN. It's operated on DL metal but I can only get this price through AF or KL on KL-coded numbers.

Am I correct that I can neither credit to Velocity (DL metal but not DL-marketed) nor Qantas (KL code but not KL-operated)? Am I going to just have to credit to some SkyTeam program? (It would be for a family of four of us, and we have a small quantity of miles from KL flights years ago, so my SkyTeam default is probably KE.)

Correct - this won't earn with Qantas (as DL operated) and won't earn with Velocity either.

You should be able to credit to any SkyTeam program.

You could also credit to Virgin Atlantic.
