Gift vouchers - how do I buy and book?

Yesterday afternoon I went to use a GV to book a quick trip to BKK in October. I am fully aware of the different search engines used to search flights when using a GV, and regular bookings.

Hvr - I haven't used a GV before, but am intending to do so, could you please advise what different search engines I would need in addition to the usual ones? TIA Franky

It is the difference in internal QF search engines that @Hvr is referring to.

Thanks Jessica - I’m none the wiser though. I know where to go to purchase a flight, and also where to go to book an award flight, so is there a different place to book a flight using a GV to pay or part pay for a booking. Not having done so to date, it’s probably staring me in the face but I’ll never know until I purchase a GV first. TIA also.

To book using a GV go to the same place you will go to to buy it (Book > Gift Vouchers) and click 'redeem'. Then after entering the details, click on 'find flights'. That is the GV search engine.
